The Israeli occupation authorities released eight detainees from the Gaza Strip today, Wednesday.
Local sources reported that the released detainees were transferred to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, via the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), for medical examinations following their prolonged detention.
Every now and then, the occupation releases a number of citizens it has arrested since the beginning of the genocide.
According to the Commission of Prisoners' Affairs and the Prisoners' Club, "according to testimonies from a group of detainees, the prison system has left no stone unturned to strip them of their humanity and attempt to break them psychologically. Twenty months after the genocide, the conditions and circumstances of detention remain unchanged and at the same level. In fact, they are worsening, as time is a decisive factor in determining the fate of detainees, while this brutality continues at the same level."
