The newspaper "Israel Hayom" reported that "Trump's patience with Netanyahu is running out and he may demand that he set a date for ending the war."
The newspaper reported that "due to the stalemate in Doha, the Israeli delegation is returning to Israel today," noting that "Hamas has rejected all American proposals regarding (US envoy Steve) Witkoff's plan."
Israel's Channel 13 quoted an Israeli source as saying, "The return of senior members of the negotiating team for consultations is being considered," noting that "this issue has not yet been decided."
For its part, Doha asserted that the round of negotiations on a ceasefire and prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel over the past few weeks had not led to any progress due to a fundamental gap between the two sides that had not been bridged.
The Qatari Prime Minister said, "One party is seeking a comprehensive agreement in Gaza, and the other wants a partial agreement," adding, "We have not been able to bridge the gap between them."
He pointed out that Israel is reneging on previous agreements and is actively seeking to prevent an agreement to end the war.
He added, "We are committed to our efforts with our partners to stop the war, release the hostages, and end the tragedy of the people of Gaza," noting that "Israel launched an unprecedented wave of bombing, killing hundreds of innocent people."
