The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth noted that "any general strike to protest the dismissal of the Shin Bet chief would cause economic damage of approximately 5.8 billion shekels per day."
She added, citing sources she described as "high-ranking," that "ignoring the Supreme Court's decisions could lead to a further downgrade of Israel's credit rating."
