Hebrew media: Hamas has until the end of next week before resuming fighting in Gaza

Hebrew media reported on Monday that the "Israeli" government has set a deadline until the end of next week to release the detainees before resuming military operations in the Gaza Strip.

Channel 12 quoted an "Israeli" official as saying that Tel Aviv wants to reach understandings, but it set the deadline in order to push the process forward, indicating that negotiations on the deal are still at a "dead end."

The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation also reported that the resumption of fighting in Gaza may take some time due to the change in the Chief of Staff.

In a related context, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation reported that the US Special Envoy has not yet set a date for his arrival in Tel Aviv, but estimates indicate that he will arrive at the end of this week.

In addition, Channel 12 confirmed that "Israel" will return to fighting within 10 days if Hamas does not continue to release the detainees.
