Former US officer: Congress is complicit in Gaza genocide

“The US Congress is complicit in the genocide in Gaza” through the unconditional support the United States provides to Israel, said former US intelligence and military officer Josephine Guillebeau.

This came in a speech during a session held by the Veterans Affairs Committee in the US House of Representatives on Thursday, where Guillebeau expressed her dissatisfaction with the US administration and Congress’ policy towards Israel.

During the session, Guillebeau stood up and addressed the members of Congress in her military uniform, saying: “The United States Congress is complicit in this genocide taking place in Gaza. You continue to send billions of dollars to Israel. As an officer who served 17 years in intelligence, I see how you destroy American values and our national security.”

She said: "Israel is burning children alive in Gaza. For a year now, I have been watching Israel burn children alive. You do not value veterans or American values. You are destroying this country."

"I feel ashamed for all of you. May God give you the courage to do what is right," she continued.

At the request of the chairman, the security men removed Guilbo from the courtroom.

Speaking to reporters outside the session, Guillebeau explained that the US Congress allocates billions of dollars to countries like Israel, while not providing veterans with the assistance they need.
