The Syrian regime's news agency, SANA, said on Sunday evening that air defenses had intercepted "hostile" targets in the airspace of the country's central region.
The agency reported in an urgent news item: "Our air defense systems are confronting hostile targets in the airspace of the central region," without giving further details.
The agency did not immediately clarify the targets, the name of the enemy party, or the results of the confrontation.
It is worth noting that since 2011, Israel has been launching attacks in Syria from time to time against what it says are "Iranian-backed groups and military points affiliated with the regime."
