UNICEF: The cessation of oxygen generators in Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital threatens the lives of 20 newborns

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) warned that the oxygen generators at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the city of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip had stopped due to a lack of fuel supplies, threatening the lives of more than 20 infants.

UNICEF stressed in a post on its account in “X” today, Friday, that “fuel supplies to Gaza are still very low. Without the continued supply of fuel to Al-Aqsa Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah, the oxygen generators will stop, putting the lives of 20 newborns at risk.” ".

It added: “No child should have to endure this. Gaza needs more fuel now, and safe passages for humanitarian workers.”
