Ismail Haniyeh, leader of the Hamas movement, said in a speech on Wednesday that any arrangements in the Gaza Strip without Hamas are “an illusion and a mirage.”
Haniyeh announced that the Hamas movement is open to any ideas or initiatives to stop the war, stressing that any arrangements about the future of Gaza without Hamas will not succeed.
The leader of the Hamas movement welcomed the decision of the United Nations General Assembly regarding the ceasefire.
Haniyeh believed that putting the Palestinian house in order would be followed by a political path that guarantees the right of the Palestinians to their independent state.
