BEIJING (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has sent a congratulatory message to James Marape on his re-election as Prime Minister of PNG.
In his letter, he told me that Papua New Guinea is a country with important regional influence.
He added that China and Papua New Guinea are comprehensive strategic partners that support and trust each other, and their relations have long been at the forefront of China's relations with Pacific island countries.
He said he is willing to work with Marape to further enhance political mutual trust between the two countries, vigorously expand bilateral practical cooperation in various fields, and strive for more win-win results, so as to upgrade bilateral relations and better benefit the two countries and peoples.
