The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced an increase in the death toll due to the genocide being committed by the occupying state since October 7, 2023, with the toll reaching 61,599 dead and 154,088 injured.
The ministry clarified in its statement on Tuesday that during the past 24 hours, 100 Palestinians were killed and 513 others were injured, reflecting the escalation of violence and aggression against civilians in the sector.
The ministry also reported that the toll of Palestinian victims since the resumption of genocide on March 18 of last year has risen to 10,078 dead and 42,047 injuries, indicating the scale of the humanitarian disaster faced by the residents of Gaza.
The figures indicate that the toll of Palestinian victims among those awaiting American aid has increased since May 27 of last year to 1,838 dead and more than 13,409 injuries, with 31 Palestinians martyred and 388 injured during the past 24 hours.
Away from the supervision of the United Nations and international relief organizations, the occupying state has begun since May 27 of last year to implement a plan for distributing aid through what is known as the 'Gaza Humanitarian Relief Foundation,' which is an entity supported by Israel and the United States, but is rejected internationally.
The occupying state continues, with American support, to commit genocide in Gaza, including acts of killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring international calls and orders from the International Court of Justice to stop the aggression.
In addition to the martyrs and the injured, most of whom are children and women, the genocide has left more than 9,000 missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, leading to famine that has claimed many lives.
The toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023, has risen to 61,599 dead.
