The Arab Parliament expressed its support for the urgent appeal made by Palestinian National Council Speaker Rawhi Fattouh to the parliaments of the free world, calling for a free, dignified, and humane stand, and the adoption of emergency humanitarian legislation aimed at providing relief to the Palestinian people and contributing to providing them with their basic, life-saving needs.
In the urgent appeal, Fattouh also called for the establishment of a special international fund under the supervision of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
The Arab Parliament stressed in a statement on Thursday that this cry is not merely a call, but rather a sincere expression of the collective tragedy being experienced by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, amidst systematic genocide and severe deprivation of food, water, and medicine.
The Parliament reiterated its solidarity with this appeal, calling on parliaments around the world to respond immediately and work to implement it promptly and urgently.
