رام الله- اجتمع امس مجلس إدارة مجموعة الاتصالات الفلسطينية برئاسة صبيح المصري واطلع على البيانات المالية الأولية للسنة المالية 2009، وقررتعيين عمار العكر في منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الاتصالات الفلسطينية ابتداء من صباح يوم الاثنين الموافق الأول من شباط 2010.

وجاء هذا الاختيار تتويجا لعشر سنوات عمل فيها العكر في شركة "جوال"، وتنقّل خلالها إلى عدّة مناصب تنفيذية، حيث عمل كمراقب مالي ثم كرئيس للإدارة المالية، ليشغل بعدها منصب الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة "جوال"، فقاد الشركة لتصبح نموذجا اقتصاديا ناجحا ويعمل ضمن أرقى المستويات العالمية.

وقال صبيح المصري أن "مجلس الإدارة يرى في تعيين عمار العكر فرصة لنقل تجربة جوال وتعميمها على باقي شركات مجموعة الاتصالات الفلسطينية، واستكمالا لمشوار النجاح الذي قطعته شركات المجموعة في تنمية قطاع الاتصالات الفلسطيني ليواكب أحدث ما توصل إليه عالم الاتصالات من تطورات، الأمر الذي سيلقي بظلاله على دفع عجلة الاقتصاد الفلسطيني وتطويره نحو الأفضل، وبالتالي تحقيق الهدف المنشود وهو العمل في سوق فلسطينية حرة قادرة على أن تقدم خدمة الاتصال بكافة أشكالها بالجودة اللازمة دون قيود أو حدود".
